This is the main character of some of Kay Reynolds stories. Meet Elijah Two-Shadows. He is a shapeshifter and this sculpture is of his beginning transformation into a Raven. This is a private commission for Kay Reynolds.

Sculpture by Sunny Talbot of Fairies of the Painted Sun ~ Painted Sun Designs.

UPDATE! 8/2

Kay and I both decided that Elijah needed wings. So here he is more wonderful than ever! I did put into my vision of Elijah some black fur. He is after all part Black Leopard. So along with his black Raven's wings are accents of black fur. you can see this more easily along the tops of his wings.

Sorry about the color again. Night shots in the living room. Hard to get good light.

Today is the day Elijah Two-Shadows is in his final form. Lets hope Kay likes him as much as I do.

8/1/05

In photos there is a tiny shine on his eyes due to the gloss varnish. In person it makes him look more alive.

Images for July 31st. Here is the sculpture Elijah with his face done and hair. Starting paint job. Tomorrow I will be adding feathers and necklace. Should be wonderful!

Images for 7/30/2005 below are phase 3 of Elijah. He now has hands and talons. I thought about his feet a bit and believe this is the way to portray him. He is in transformation and his feet have become talons.

Above you can see his pose becoming more realistic. He will be holding a necklace in the end phase.

Here you can see his talons forming. Elijah will have feathers soon making him wonderfully dramatic.

Images added 7/29. We are in the phase of adding head and posing.

Here you can see there are still no hands and feet. That is coming tomorrow.
